(SPORT-) MASSAGE for women |
The definition of (Sport-) massage the use of set of complex hand techniques on a (bare) & relaxed part of the body from a healthy athlete. During exercise muscle groups are used intensively & sometimes overloaded (Sports-) massage works preventative & helps recovery. The aim is to improve the general physical condition of the athlete, help recovery of injuries & prevent further problems.
Purpose (sport-) massage:
- The purpose of massage is to eliminate waste products from your body (muscles), thus improving the well-being whilst decreasing the chance of further injuries.
- A (sport-) massage promotes the blood circulation & the metabolism of the muscle. Muscles recover faster!
- Hard spots found in the muscle fiber are broken-down through the massage techniek.
- Muscle pain and stiffness are reduced through massage & increased tension in the muscles are then normalized.
The two types of (sport-)massage:
- a sedative massage (= relaxing / lightly stimulating) after a competition, training or a run.
- a deep & stimulating massage (= prior to a competition, training or a run) – or a combination
